Product Recall Announcement: Dlesot Snap Children’s Hair Clips

Jelsy Cadenas-Santos

On May 1, 2025, about 3,800 units of YFLGOTOO Dlesot Snap Children’s Hair Clips were recalled due to the risk of lead poisoning. The paint on the clips contains lead levels that exceed federal safety limits. Lead can be very dangerous if children swallow it. The clips were sold on Amazon.com from April to September 2024 for around $10. Amazon is contacting known buyers directly and the manufacturer, YFLGOTOO, is offering full refunds. No illnesses have been reported, but families should act quickly to prevent potential lead exposure.

Why Is This a Concern?

The painted hair clips contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead paint ban, posing a lead poisoning hazard to children if they chew, mouth, or swallow the clips. Once in the body, lead is toxic and can seriously harm children, causing developmental delays, learning problems, and other serious health issues. Chronic lead exposure can lead to kidney problems, high blood pressure, and other health issues in adults. There is no safe level of lead in the body.

What Should You Do?

  • Stop using the hair clips immediately.
  • Keep the hair clips away from children.
  • Dispose of the hair clips safely.
  • Contact YFLGOTOO for a full refund, including a picture of the disposal.

If you and/or your child have used this product and have concerns, please consult your doctor about a blood lead level test.
